How do I get started?
Fred Astaire Dance Studios offers a Special Introductory Course for all our beginner students. It includes three sessions, which two of
them are 30min. private lessons and one session, is a 45min. practice sessions. Your first private lesson also includes a 15min. consultation,
to find out the very special need of every single student.
Call your local studio for the introductory course special.
The Tuition can be paid in advance or at your first visit to the studio. We accept cash and all major credit cards.
Our internet coupon enables you to take One 30min. Introductory private lesson and attend 1 Thursday Night Practice Session for free.
Just print out the coupon and bring it to your Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
What time can I take my lessons?
The first step to dancing, is scheduling your first private session. Just call your local studio and set up an appointment at your convenience.
All Fred Astaire Studios are open Monday – Friday 12:30pm- 10:15pm. We also offer instruction Saturday and Sunday by appointment.
How soon will I be able to dance?
Under the Fred Astaire System of dance instruction, you will be up on your feet and dancing in your very first lesson. We begin by teaching
you the basic steps of the most popular dances so that, within a very short time, you will have the confidence to get out on the dance floor.
How should I dress for my lesson?
Comfort and class is what we encourage. Comfortable leather soled shoes dance best on our ballroom floor. Any type of sling-backs,
tennis shoes or boots are discouraged. Practice wear and dance shoes are available for purchase in our dance apparel department.
Do I need a partner?
Fred Astaire offers lessons for singles and couples alike. Whatever your situation, one of our well-trained professional instructors will guide you.
What types of dances do you offer?
We offer all partnership dances. From waltz, tango, cha cha, salsa to country and western and swing and club dancing. We can help you
with your wedding dance, all your social dance needs and basically any dance done with a partner.

We offer private,group and practice sessions, a unique three way system of teaching developed by Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 1947.

In a private lesson, you will be taught one-on-one by an instructor. Everything is special tailored to your need.
A group lesson focuses on the pattern of the dances and the technical skill. It is the fastest way to learn new steps.
At a practice session you have the chance to go out on the dance floor and try out all the material you learned in your lessons.
It is a great way to socialize and meet new friends. Our professional instructors are there to help you around the dance floor.
Practice sessions are held every Thursday @ 8pm in your studio.
How much will it cost to learn to dance?
The cost will depend on the level of proficiency you want to have, how well you pick up and retain the material and how quickly you
want to progress. We can tailor a program to meet your individual goals and budget. We also offer new students two types of beginner
sessions at a discounted rate.
